Yeah, someone made a duff call there.

I stuck a bungee under the tray, i'm busy now till Friday and then taking the S to a place in doncaster for a proper underseal. Inspired by MQs Moo i plan on keeping this little car

So the M and its tray will wait, sunny this week so S weather anyway.

Today i figured how to drop the seats down. The missus tells me the boot is too small, she looked at one with me ffs! Kids dont need pushchairs for long... I hope

I cant win Rog

The undertray flaps at speed, the missus flaps at 0mph.

She said 'lets keep the vectra'. It does have a bigger boot. I might have to sell

the kid.

Well, in a fit of pique i removed the offending bit of undertray. It was hanging off, brute force did the rest.
Here's a question, the passenger window goes down loads when i open that door, drivers a little.. Is that normal? (no, i've not touched the manual).

I like the voice command thing, silly but amusing.

I might actually get to use it now!

Rare colour
Love that colour. Such a good looking car.

Shame the undertray thing is spoiling it a bit

It is a good pic . The good weather means I keep taking the Honda too, had the hood down so little with all the rain I'm really enjoying it. Sunny again tomorrow so Honda again

Its made me appreciate the rag top from scratch

The m will get Rog's black grilles too and I may refurb the wheels black like that one

Next..I may even go out in it!

I really really want one now!

Porker sold today and after driving my old mans DCT 325 m sport thing the other day, I am impressed.

My worry is that it's the sort of car I'd lose my shirt on if I sold in 6-12 months! You always lose, but I've taken a bit of a hit on the Porker and the GTR is also appealing from a positive depreciation pov...

Any new pics?

I reckon the problem is selling a car of that sort of value private, especially one that's pretty common.

I think the dealers know what they are doing, they exert significant influence in the market that they will hammer you if you go back to them. Their prices are not much worse than private ime for buying so they must make up the ground. I think you would take a decent hit, more so the newer you go. I don't know how much you lost on that fantastic porka (dream car territory that one for me) but i reckon a 2009 will depreciate about £5k in a year so probably small fry by comparison (though the porsche was a lot rarer).

So say it's 31-33k now it'll be 26-28k next year, a 2010 a fair wedge more though and if you go for nearly new prepare for some serious pain 12 months down the line.

lets' see if flickr will play, it's a rubbish pic though but all i have currently. I'm pondering tinting the windows (pimp i know) like the one in the pic i posted and the wheels will have to go black at some point. I will no doubt add the bmw black grilles and the carbon side vents at some point as i think the general 'darkened' look suits this colour.

oh and consider the DCT over the manual, it's quite a slow box imo and as you dont keep cars

thanks s2knut.. i'm still to fall under the M's thrall if i'm honest, it was good practical transport the other day with sproggo in the back but that's only half the point. I have time to gel this week as the S is being undersealed so i'm a one horse guy atm now the bikes' gone. I'm lucky enough to have a great run to the train station (20 miles) so this is prime territory. the power is laugh out loud though and the noise, even in traffic is music to my ears

@MB I would agree with Jason's depreciation assessment although I did better with the convertible. With the proviso that it is a dealer-sourced AUC still with warranty.

@Nottm I did tell you about the DCT versus manual but you wouldn't listen As a 'keeper' and assuming you extend the warranty on the drive train (cheapest option) then a DCT appeals to a bigger audience when you move it on. I am liking the cosmetic plans but you do have a clean licence don't you? 20 miles daily ffs and the Nottingham traffic police ... no chance mate

edit: it strikes me that if you take all that sh*t moulding out the boot Nina might be able to get the baby wagon in there? Plus you would lose quite a few Kgs (oops, that's an MB thing isn't it ...)
