I always enjoy looking at the advertising people put up with on their cars.

Dealer sticker in the rear window, dealer details on the number plate and sometimes even a dealer name on the rear panel.

Never understand why people advertsie for garages for free.
Every time The Man and I have bought a new car we have told the dealer that we will only carry their stickers if they pay us to advertise.

They always laugh, but not when we ask for it when we find the sticker at the delivery inspection and as a result we therefore remove the sticker on front of them and give it back asking them to put it in the bin for us, thank you.

They have to be removed when you take delivery as the glue is still fresh. Later it becomes more difficult.

By comparison the numerous BMWs in the traffic illustrated how model designation should be done - simple, classy and distinctive.
However, ask a BMW (non-M) owner what kind of car they drive, and you'll usually get a longer answer however.

Something along the lines of "a 320 M-Sport"

Audi are worse, of course "A3 2.0TDi 170 S-Line Quattro"

It beats me how such a nicely designed car can find itself laden with junk.
A nicely styled car??? It's supposed to be a supermini but it's f'ing massive and (IMO) looks like a house on a rollerskate.

I reckon it was the best thing Ford could do to cover the Fiesta in stickers. At least it covers up a bit of what's underneath.

Improved pedestrian safety is a good and necessary thing, but it's completely screwed car design.

Regarding reg plates, i'm pretty sure it is a legal requirement, for newly made plates, to have on them the place they were manufactured.

IIRC the only thing they must have is the postcode of the place who made them.

Unless you get "show plates"

When I bought my Leon I asked them to remove the stupid sticker they'd put on the bottom right of the boot lid as it looked dreadful.

Salesman agreed and it was gone when I went to pick it up
