You'd be better off getting the Tango Man round to do your car.

He's known already and does a bloody good job if the testimonies off here are anything to go by.

Not tried them

By finish I assume you mean protection. This can vary a great deal.

Things to consider:

Is it a daily driver?
Is it garaged?
Is it exposed to high heat temp over a long period?
It is likely to be very wet all the time?
What products they actually use.

If it is a synthetic sealant then these can last up to 9 months
a carnauba wax finish can be all over in one month.

Is it a daily driver? No, just weekends
Is it garaged? Yes every night, underground car park
Is it exposed to high heat temp over a long period? No, never, we are in England
It is likely to be very wet all the time? Only if it rains weekends

Jamie

I reckon if they are using a good quality synthetic sealant you can expect 6 -9 months protection from most of the harmful stuff.

They don't actually list what products they do use but in some blurb they mention a few brands and these suggest they are not going to do a cheap job. (which is good)

As for Value for money that is a hard one to predict as their pricing is vague (but with good reason).

If you have anymore questions please fire away.

I hope of I have been of some help.

If they ask you questions about what you are looking for in terms of longevity and whether you prefer the finish to be warm and deep or glassy and highly reflective (hard to describe) this wlll give you an idea that they are really thinking about you. The first would suggest a more Carnuaba wax finish (short life span 1 -2 months depending on product) and 6 - 9 months for the later. These are just guidelines and not definitive - shine, gloss, reflection are subjective and personal choice.

Hope that helps

If you want to chat just PM sometimes easier to talk than type.

If you want me to have a chat to them to find out what they are like I am willing to do that and give you my opinion. (I am no a professional but have valeted a number of clients cars at weekends). I have done a wide range of motors from a French Peugeot 306 to an NSX but never a Porsche's.

I would expect them to comment that German paint is a little harder and therefore might take more time - depending on the condition of the paint now. (when I say harder I mean in terms of the S's soft jap paint!)

Jamie (not to detract from Lee but to give you an option) a friend of mine runs a detailing company. Their results are amazing, but they're not cheap!

Let me know if you're interested.

Whatever you do it's hard to avoid a build up of road film on the car that just won't wash off.

It's why all the folks on here who know keep going on about claying the car first.

TBH I've tried a lot of the so called sealant options on cars in the past and the more honest dealers will tell you you need to bring the car in every year for a "top up". Guess what the first step is most of the time - clay the car!!

Tango Man and those who follow his path are the most honest IMHO when it comes to detailing. The car will need regular pro attention to keep it looking tip top.

Why not just buy the materials and spend the 1-2 days it will take you to do it yourself. If you don't like this idea then get Tango man (or similar) involved first then take advice on how to keep it looking good. That way you might only need a professional detailer every 1-2 years to give the car the works.
