Too late as in you've been done?

Its daft that speeding makes the headline when someone was 3 x over the limit

I understand that DD is comparatively rare these days.

Rate of motion is the new whipping horse.

Thanks for the warning - and sympathies.

If this this the A832 between Garve and Achnasheen, it is a very tempting, quiet, open straight, but also well known for polis checks at any time of the year.

Long sightlines, but difficult to pick things out accurately until too late

I really need to film the people doing 35mph in a 60 and send that to the Police.

Not only is it aggravating other drivers, not only do they speed up when they get to a 30 zone, they also like to drive into oncoming traffic by cutting right hand bends.

Actually, the bloke in the Matiz I was following at weekend was weaving to prevent me overtaking. Well, I thought that but when I dropped back he carried on weaving and almost took out another car coming the other way.

Yes, patrol the 30/40 zones as these need patrolling (I have been done for 37 in a 30 and rightly so).

But National speed limits....?

If people start having accidents in the zones, don't blame speed, blame the crap driver which is really the root cause of nearly all 'speed' related accidents.

Agree with Nexus and Nott, I really do believe that the fuzz need to concentrate their driving related pulls on more topics than just speeding, it's such an easy thing for them to nab on but cannot possibly be the worst felony going on out there!

I'd rather have a keen, focused observant driver approach and overtake me at speed (whilst out on a quiet country road for example - not in a built up town) than happen across some dawdling biffer who has no interest in driving whatsoever doing 2 thirds of the speed limit (if that). I honestly believe the latter is more dangerous.

Mostly because the latter will almost always undermine their own 'safety policy' of reducing the only thing that matters (speed of course) and will then fail to indicate when turning, brake randomly and cause chaos behind, or go slamming into a bit of hedge because 'it was at a funny angle'......

Grrrr. Speed is not the only dangerous thing on the road!
