Caterham Racing!
I had the pleasure of racing Caterham 7's today at someone elses expense. DOnt you just love corporate jollies?
They are about as much automotive fun as you can have for the price! Everyone was gobsmacked by their accelleration (we were in the 1.6litre - 0-60MPH in 6.2secs models) but it was the throttle response that really impressed me. Then one person said..."you will enjoy the power of a real sports car after yours" (my shining zymolled S was parked behind us). I was a bout to chip in when one of the other guys said, " actually joe's car is quicker, 0-60 in 5.5 and 240horses under the bonnet!"
I had to leave early as i had a meeting to attend
so i treated them to 1st 2nd and 3rd at 9000rpm with the airbox cover off as i left the airstrip at Brooklands.
I won two of the four heats!
but came third on average time
What a day out
