DONE IT !
Part-ex'd my S2 for a 57 plate Cayman S.
First impressions - Bottom end urge, gearbox not quite as slick as the S2, but still good, fantastic sound behind you which only gets better.
I've not really had chance to get used to it yet on some decent roads (where ?)but it feels pretty sharp and goes where its pointed.
I've driven it for a couple of weeks now and I love it, I'm still not convinced it's really mine.
I do 200 miles a week to work and a couple of local trips and it costs £5 more than the S2 to fill up.
It does go when requested !It's a bigger car both inside and out. The interior is full black leather and excellent quality (even if it is a "cheap" porsche)
and the Bose sound system is a notch up on the S2.
I will never knock the S2, it's been a fantastic car, unsurpassable in many ways, but I'd had mine for nearly six years and was (sadly) ready for a change.

Thanks to all for their input - my wife may not be so gratefull - I vanish into the garage for hours! (again)
Will post some pics when I'm home in the light.

Regards

Congrats! let us know how you get on.

Is it fairly out of the box, or did someone think they were a teacher taking the register when it came to options?

Hi Nick
Fairly standard
Pasm,full leather,stainless sill trims,Bose sound,park assist,19"sport design wheels,auto climate,small sports steering wheel,short shifter,
Atlas grey metallic. 57 plate with 17700 miles, one owner,Porsche service history- first service at 10K.
Chuffed to bits with it. As you say, I cant wait to get in it, then dont want to get out (sad or what?)

Going shopping now (the long way round).Might get some pictures latter.

Regards

Nice work.

Still the best car experience i've had was a passenger lap in a Cayman S

Any pics?

I really like the Cayman Sport and Cayman R too.
