The EVO has a better image, is faster point to point, rarer.

I find that difficult to believe. But then I am used to seeing farmers/landowners etc, in Subarus of all ages.
It also has an asymetrically-mounted transverse inline four and is therefore theoretically has an inferior CofG to the boxer-engined Subaru.
Nick, I think there is little doubt the EVO rarer (they produce far less) and a better handler. Not by much that us mortals would realise I would think.
Image - It is odd that a 26-30k car would be labelled as chav but it happens
The image and looks of the EVO in the eyes of most, is better. Granted neither of them are a classy car, but prob not why you buy one! Soob is not helped by bulging arches, big IC scoop and garish blue colours
Wingnut, a lot of the servicing costs are a myth when you look into it. Indipendant prices are very good. Just the AYC that has to be done by a delaer generally.

I think most on here are likely to vote EVO as it's more exclusive and less in your face!
Performance wise there doesn't sound like there's a lot in it and it sounds like they are similar to drive, but on looks alone I wouldn't even consider the Scoob. Just my opinion, hope you choose the right one for you!
