My RR was 6.5 million Yen (about £43k at the current rate) in Japan.

Then shipping, import tax, VAT and SVA testing plus the importers fee.

Total would be >£50k today, but I didn't pay that much

But that wasn't the price you paid and err the UK version is made in Swindon so hardly related to the YEN/GBP rates which make it very very expensive!

You were too quick for me Adrian LOL, see my edited post.

You have to remember that it's just the base car made in Swindon, all of the bits are imported from Mugen in Japan. I suspect the engine is also shipped in, but I might be wrong.

This makes no sense. The car sounds great, but compared to a 237bhp R26.R it's nuts. I'd take the renault every time. It's an astonishing car.

Honda/Mugen were on to something, but they've missed the mark by a country mile.
