Yes mid engined cars can let go and the shorter wheelbase makes it harder still. And no, I wouldn't buy one with my money as it's french therefore it'll break.

But I think if it's something that takes your fancy, you should give it a test drive and see what you think.

True but is is commonly accepted that mid engine cars let go quicker when they get to the limit as they have less interia/mass at the etremity of the car.
..and here's the proof

That's not why I think the Clio's a bad choice though.

Whilst apparently great to drive, aren't they considered to be one of the least practical cars money can buy?

Zero space for any kind of luggage, etc. ...

As a road car, that's fair comment. But if it's to be used as a track car only, that needn't matter.
I like 'em. Don't know anything about them though, other than snippets I've seen on Top Gear.

I admire the audacity of sticking a V6 in the middle of a shopping trolley

Would you own one?

The ones I have seen have always been driven by apparently normal people. I like the fact the chavs probably don't know what it is.

A friend of mine owns one, decent exhaust fitted, few other bits.

Bloody scary and as everyone says, you think the s spins easy.. you wanna try a clio v6. They look good i won't deny, but as previously said, for 15k i doubt i'd be spending it on a clio.
