That one should have been a ban given it was on a straight. Suspect some post race justice may have been served.

Fair play to the guy for trying to get the handbrake on.
Didn't notice the grab for the handbrake until you mentioned it Mark!

Scary how little time there is to do anything, but at least he managed to get his hands off the steering wheel before the impact.

But the video makes it look like a deliberate collision. You'd have thought that if nothing else there would have been some serious apologising going on.
but what exactly was he trying to achieve?

The guy had a good 3-4mph run on him and was past. You hold your line if you are inside or setup for the switchback if he is inside.

No excuse at any level of opinion. I'd have expected this from a 20 year old n00b, but now a 62 year old veteran.

He'd been bumping with the white car in front and punctured it's rear tyre before that too. Hence it sliding all over, before he gives it yet another tap to push it off track.

Should have had his licence away from him for a year or two imo.

I thought this, but the White car lost it by itself, not from a bump. Whether his tyre was punctured, I can't tell.

Well, that's from the guy who was driving it. I'm not sure if he brushes it before it goes off or in the corner previously, but apparently he'd been nudging and banging wheels with him for a while before this vid.

Yeah, I'd read that they had been trading paint but since I haven't seen it I am not going to comment. Nout to say the guy in the white hadn't whacked Bob first.

TBH, I find it irrelevant - the main 'punt' is all you need to ban him.
