I have quite good hours at my job for avoiding the rat run. I had to join it today though cos I was working late. The standard of driving was appalling.

The best one was a guy who decided not to queue like everyone else, shot up one of the middle lanes on the entry to a roundabout (ahead only) while we all queued in the far right one (one of two right turns), then decided he the family in his jag were going to drive through us and turn right - from what became the left-hand lane!

I was going straight ahead and almost rammed into him. I banged the horn, and when we stopped at the lights in the middle of the roundabout made it clear I was going in front of him and making my correct turn. I was gobsmacked when he carried on behind me and round the roundabout some more!

F**king w@nker. I think we need a commute rants thread.

 

I need to leave earlier in the mornings!! and I am not liking the drive home at the moment, 1.15 at least most days. Seperate post coming
