Oxford Street is the most polluted street in the capital and therefore the country.
Oxford Street is only used by buses and taxis
I'm not sure on exact dates, but last August London Taxis (and only the new ones) had to conform to emissions regulations.
The same ones cars were at 2 (or was it 3) years earlier.
The whole thing is an absolute money making sham.
Oh, and if you pay the charge by accident - ie because the card they sent you says it ends at 6:30, not 6:00 - they will not refund because of the admin costs.
Wonder what the admin charges are - or if they'd pay them - when I don't pay the charge?
