Daihatsu Copen
I got a lift home in a colleagues Diahatsu Copen last night. (if you don't know they are these tiny little two seaters that look like dinky cars)

Admittedly I had misgivings before I got anywhere near the car and said to my colleague that I didn't think I'd fit in it but she said it was surprisingly spacious inside. So I agreed as it would save a walk or the cost of a taxi.
The boot fitted my suitcase and laptop bag and her laptop bag and handbag with room to spare, which isn't so easy in the S2000 boot.
Then comes the tricky bit, getting all my 6'1", 19 stone, frame into the passenger seat...
I adopted my usual technique for entering the S of one leg first then squat and duck to slide my backside onto the seat whilst supporting my weight on the leg that's stood on the ground. First off I didn't duck far enough and smacked the side of my head on the roof, then I ducked further causing me to tuck almost double with my chin nearly on my knees. This had the equally undesirable effect of causing my abdominal muscles to go into spasm/cramp. The cure for which is to stretch my body out and back to elongate the abdominals until the spasm eases. Which is fine usually, except this time I'm inside a car that's about the same size as matchbox. So, I've still got one leg out of the car, I'm leaning back and across the centre console trying to get my muscles to stop cramping and rubbing the side of my head which is still bruised from the wack it took a few moments ago. I did see the funny side and started laughing (not sure if this was good or bad) and eventually the cramps eased off and I could get my leg into the car sit up and put my seat belt on.
It was a short journey to the destination and my abs were still sore when it was time to get out of the car so I didn't want to risk them cramping again if I had to tuck myself up. So I worked out that if I swung round in the seat and put both feet on the floor and both hands on the roof I could slide myself off the seat onto my heels in a kind of squat position then using my hands on the roof for leverage pull the top half of my body out and up into a standing position.
Not very graceful, I know, but better than the pain caused getting in.
Needless to say I will think carefully before trying to get into such a small car in future.

Got to admit, I think these are so cute. As someone who always hankered after a Suzuki Capuccino (ooh, another car we could add to the rare thread!), I thought about getting one a few years ago.
I was concerned about:
Image (bit of a girly car, not meaty enough in the power stakes)
Safety
Daihatsu name (can you trust the build quality and dealer network?)
Looks like a mini TT (and TT drivers would probably look down their noses at you)

Well I look down my nose at them, in their uninspiring tarted up Golf, common as muck, and easy to drive due to it's unengaging nature! So there!
