BMW 530d 's in the Met ..... well, not much else can carry the kit (weight and size) and pass the braking or acceleration tests. Most cars fail on the braking side as our requirements are so high for constant city driving. I believe even the V70 T5 costs too much to maintain compared to the BMW's. We've had 530d's for about 4 years now - not exactly new. People now notice them because of the new shape ones.

Can't comment on the Evo ..... I don't get the chance to try and crash them in the Met

Seriously though hopefully no one got hurt ..... If it was the police drivers fault the accident will live with them for years - the amount of abuse they will get will be unbelievable .... firstly because they have had an accident and secondly because no one gets to drive the car as a result !

 

Did i not see a thread the other day with a story about a copper that crashed his patrol car whilst speeding with the lights on when not responding to a call. The accident was caused by him looding control after braking hard to avoid getting flashed
