The windscreen pillar isn't particularly strong from my experience
I only have experience of collapsing pillars on the S but as soon as I test them on an Elise I'll post the results...
Reminds me of an incident not long back where a Peugeot 307 drivers stopped at a junction and then quickly reversed up for some reason. They didn't see the Lotus Exige behind them and went straight over the top of it and they landed on their roof.
Interesting that the car behind is also an Elise
- the Elise is far more less common that a lot of cars hence I wonder if they were in convoy / playing on the roads and he didn't quite pay attention.

I was thinking exactly the same thing when I saw 2 of them lined up.
I reckon he was probably going faster than the speed he states also, but then again the Elise is a very low car. Just trying to get my head around that picture.

Would that be Elise or S2000?

And yes, from the car behind being an Elise I instantly assumed it was a meet. I thought right it seems.
You just can't imagine how low an Elise is until you drive one in traffic. No one can see you if you're behind even an S2000. I've almost been driven into by quite tall cars because they didn't see me behind another car.

Exactly what I thought too but was frightened to mess with the Lotus guys. Glad Kelk was the first to point it out.
