as a 4x4 driver myself i can see why this happends... most and i mean MOST ( yummy mummy types ) have NO IDEA about the size of there vehicle so adopt the ' if im not moving its not my fault if YOU hit ME ' attitude... they stop dead ( normally in the middle of the road... when im in the S and this happends to me i just stop as well i REFUSE to move - sorry if you drive a 4x4 YOU drive up on the kerb... and YOU move... simples... if there is a large ditch or it really is an area were its not poss - the person who has the best passing spot should move backwards and let the other pass...

I quite agree, but its amazing that people arent prepared to do this even in 'off-roaders'. I have taken my keys out of the ignition and put them on the dash before now when the other guy decided he wasnt prepared to move back (when there was a space). It certainly heated things up for a minute but had the desired effect in the end.

that doesn't fit with my experience that many gay men, hairdressers and gelled estate agents drive MINIs

and many tattoed and oiky chavs drive things with 'Animal' and 'Warrior' stickers

genuine green laners are easy to spot - they don't drive Cayennes or Touaregs

and if they drive a Rangie it will be 10 years old and battered to feck
Not disputing that, just saying that bullies dont specifically own 4x4 no mare than hairdressers own s2ks. Its not a prerequisite of purchase to show bully boy characteristics.

Yes they do! The car is frequently the choice of very insecure tremblies Frequently as a sort of clit extension.

Not that we don't also have proper farming/business type SUVs, but they are in reality in the minority.

IME, stereotype denyers are sometimes perfect examples of the type are you trying to tell us something here?

As a Mini driver - with gelled hair - my experience of M5 drivers is quite telling.

Of the two people I'm personally acquainted with who drive them, one is possibly the most arrogant w_anker I've ever had the displeasure to meet, the other one is a liar and a fraudster. Both are adulterers, with previous (unsuccessful) relationships under their respective belts. And both coincidentally wear fine gold neck chains.

Of the two Mini drivers I've experience of - other than myself of course - one is completely and utterly wonderful (wife) and the other (a friend's wife) a close second.

I'd like to expand my earlier comments on it just being 4x4 drivers.

This mornings confrontation was with a red R8.

He won because I couldn't bring myself to let him drive in the ditch.

Never had a particular issue with Minis or BMWs but round my way (chav central aka Loughton, essex) every other car is a stupid 4x4.

They straightline 3 lane roundabouts, stop in the middle of the road to drop off kids and sit 2 inches from your rear bumper in a 30 zone.

Drives me nuts.

When I drove a 4x4 I was pretty courtious and found a lot of non-4x4 drivers would charge at me at full pelt down a side road in some sort of rebellious rage..

Sure you get idiotic drivers, and yes I agree a lot of them are attracted to certain types of prestige SUVs but you get that with any type of car... But then car makers who make idiotic cars such as the Audi Q7 and Cayenne are just as ridiculous, these cars are far far too big for London/UK roads...

Hell, the Shogun I used to drive was LESS wider than a Mondeo and JUST as long.. I could squeeze it through gaps and watch my rearview mirror to see people in saloons stop and not be able to pass through.. I wouldn't dream of buynig a 4x4/SUV now though, they are just ridiculous
