How pissed off must the bloke in the Fez be! The Ferrari is so much quicker in a straight line and should be far far superior round corners, yet put an average driver in it and he can't loose a bloke driving an S2000.
Any money I was going to spend modding my S is now going to be spent on driver training!

These things are always difficult to interpret.

The S driver has a modded steering wheel, so it could be that other handling mods have been made to the car.

The Fezza.... The guy could have picked it up from the dealership that morning and never been on a track day before.

Much more information needed to judge.

If you can afford to own a Ferrari and take it to a track day the only reason you would let an S2000 keep up with you is lack of ability. If you were cautious about your car you wouldn't take it to a track day.

 

I'm cautious about my car and I track it.
I even insure the fecker.

But I do get your point.
But even so... knowing more about the circumstances would be good.


There is a great video (about 20 minutes )of a race where the S starts in last position and works it's way through the pack.

That shows what an S is really capable of in a competitive enviroment.

 

Sorry mate, was in the middle of writing my last post when you posted.
There's a video on there somewhere of a bloke in a Focus keeping up with an S2000 - all through he's going on about it being his daily driver vs the S2000, then right at the end a huge list of engine and handling mods appear, so you never can tell.
I do always find it amazing though how the part of the car between the seat and steering wheel is far more vital to performance than power.

Seen it happen a lot though.

Funny though how the old fart in the 911 always looks so miserable when he's overtaken by practically everything though! Or is looking miserable part of the buyer psyche as I suspect?
