Now I didn't know your full name was 'Gad Straight Line Charlie Dafi' ?

I was trying to think of an amusing acronym there but it's still too close to Monday!

I just like the right tool for the job

If I ever became interested in tracks, I guess I'd buy a Radical

For the roads I drive, and the journeys I make, big horsepower every time

If I went shopping a lot, I'd buy a hatchback

I do go to the tip a lot, so I have an Omega

Pretty much on a road, power wins. The M3 has been very instructive in that respect.

on track, power will keep better handling cars behind, but it's not quicker. They'll probably catch you up under braking at the end of the straight, unless you've got carbon ceramics.

But it's not clear cut, like most things.

I would argue 1. driver is the most important element on track

2. Followed by weight

3. Then power

2 & 3 highly correlated

If you have all 3 Fastest car on a trackday I have seen is Mr Kipling in his track prepped 360.

Fastest think I've ever seen on the track was a Edo Porsche at the Nurburgring.

I was doing 140mph on one of the straight bits at the back of the circuit and the fecker went past me like I was standing still!!!!

Fastest I've driven on track - Radical SR3 on a trackday, but I've hillclimbed a Jedi R1, which was probably faster.

Fastest I've seen on a trackday would probably be a Juno V6 twin turbo (which sounded lovely too).

Problem with anything really fast on trackdays is you spend the whole time being held up.

All I was thinking when I watched it is "why doesn't that tw@t move over and let us through"

Don't care how expensive your car is, the S2000 was obviously quickest on the day. Where were the marshals with the blues???
