Default Eek OMG I've done it

Eek omg, what've I done !

Went out this morning to test drive a WRX PPP and came back having put a deposit down on an STi!

I test drove the STi PPP, and test drove a standard WRX (the PPP had disappeared somehwere...) and the WRX was about as fun as the Mondeo to drive.

Went to another dealer who had a standard STi for sale, test drove it, decided I didn't need PPP, and put a deposit down !

It's 6 months old, 3k miles on the clock, they've thrown in a free 10k mile (first) service, and I think I got it for good money. They've agreed to part-ex the S, although being winter it's not an awfully good offer (see my FOR SALE thread)

It's not without regret that I say goodbye to the S; sure this one has p'd me off, but I picked her up from the dealer today afte rthe last bit of warranty work and all the squeaks and rattles are gone, and I'd say she's about perfect now. However, I think I've made the right decision for me (although I'll miss her !) so here's the new toy:

Now I have to sort out HU swaps, personal plate transfers, and funds before Saturday !!!!

Oh, and also go through the inevitable "have I done the right thing" conversations

Dan, no I can't - I'm not around unfortunately

Hyb - I've always had a soft spot for them, I've always wanted to own one one day.

I'm xferrin the plate onto the Caterham, so I'm hoping that might make things a bit easier, but it's going to be tight !! Will be visiting DVLA on Friday if I can squeeze it in !!!

Can you see a different picture to me James?

Glad you've gone for it Jo - good to get it out of your system and probably will be great fun during these winter months!

Hehe, its much prettier in real life

Although I may need Rahul/Tango to pay some attention to some rather nasty swirl marks (one that looks like slightly more than a swirl mark) when I get her!

Will it be your daily drive? You'll be on first name terms with the cashiers at your local petrol stations

It is my daily drive; luckily work pay for fuel, so I sort it out with Mr Tax man at the end of the year, so I *think* I'll be ok ! I don't have a massively heavy right foot anymore so fingers crossed!

Ah well, so I'm back to being the only S in the village again!

With having your "toy" car aswell, I can't say I am surprised at your decision.
The S a second "toy" car is fine for me as although I do love driving the S everyday when I get the (all too rare) chance, absence does nothing to remove the pleasure.

Let us know how you get on with your "bus". Cheers

Sent you a message on Scoobynet.

This was one of the cars that I drove.

Do you mind me asking him much they did the deal for. They offered it to me for
