Tyres seemed fine, although I'm not sure I could tell you specifically whether the tyres were good or not...

I thought the steering was a bit weird; very light, especially at speed, but once you get used to it its ok (not great). Chris absoultely hated it.

Funny thing is, I test drove an STi PPP at 2 other dealers, and the car I've bought feels better than both of them! It's lower mileage, but I'm not sure thats it - perhaps the others were just ragged more !!

It does have some nasty deep swirls; one on the bonnet where it looks like someone's started to wash it with a gritty cloth and suddenly realised... I'm hoping I (or Tango/Rahul) can work some magic on that.

Is that the exact same car ?

Don't worry. When we get old and have mini CiderBoys there will come a time when the Mrs says, we need a sensible 4 door saloon.

At which point I say, Subaru WTR thankyou very much!!!

Have you seen their big huge thing that looks like a Cayenne !!

They're also bring out a Forester STi (which I assume can have a PPP on it) - tempting !!!!

were the PPP's 06's?

The only reason I ask is that the 06 is more powerful than the 05... 280 vs 260ish. IIRC the old model PPP's had 290-300. Not sure what the 06 PPP's have??

I mentioned the tyres as I thought they were worse than S02's when cold. I managed to 180 the Scoob pulling out of a T junction, luckily it was not busy, but felt a right muppet!

They are semi slicks and don't like being cold at all. Once warmed they are great, but it's the first thing on the car that I would change - then the ICE.

Seeing the black scoob again reminds me of my testdrive and the hard decision I made at the time to get another a S.

I think I am very likely to get the new hatchback Scoob STI if it's the right price and as good as the 06.

Have fun!!

Tyres seemed fine, although easy to spin all 4 briefly even with a light right foot.

BHP seems to be about 280PS, I'm never sure how that equates to bhp though ! PPP adds about 40bhp.... if anybody wants to work it out !!

ICE is being changed straight away; I'm just going to put ht eAlpine and CD changer in (along with a handsfree kit at the same time).

I suspect I'll still be about on here, I've met loads of friends through S2ki - too many to list - and had some good times, so I'll join the ranks of ex-owners, although at least it's a change from Elises and Porka's

Now I hadn't thought of it but next JAE can we still come and stay on the S2ki stand? We have no S in the household anymore.

To be fair, the car is very nice. Looks great in black and certainly has enough oomph.

But Jo is officially a now

I'm just waiting for the beer gut and essex accent to kick in

Let me know if you want to sell your private number plate, S200 OJO isn't it? I was after that a few months back! Can't see it sitting on a Cateham or a Scoob. Good luck with the new motor.
