Default engine advice

hi my friend has a lotus exige mk1 and he is thinking of a honda engine swop , he asked me if i knew what gear box would fit on the f20c engine so he could mount this as a in-line 4 in his lotus(mid-engined) has anyone got any idea's would something like a civic type r gearbox fit or a dc5 teggy????? if not he says a K20A engine swop but he would like a F20c insted?

K20A is the common option.

Not sure an F20C will fit! Wrong orientation.

ok thanks ill pass it on what they like with the k20a or jus a normal exige im thinking of changeing the s2000 i like my mates quick and light too jus want to know what they are like everyday

Have a look over at www.exiges.com. Plenty of Exige owners over there with Honda NA and SC conversions, Audi Turbo conversions.

Andy, I can't read your post very well but the K20A is a popular swap to get rid of the Rover K series, plus you can supercharge it.

I wouldn't drive mine daily, but you could with not much bother. Visibility is quite poor. Not tried an S1 but they do have some reliability issues.

exiges.com is your best bet.
