Evil Transformer added to fleet
Hello all,
No doubt rather polarising - but I've just added a Civic Type R to my fleet. As I mentioned in another thread I was intending to buy an M2 but much preferred this
It's only done 250 miles but so far, massively impressed with it
- Great Turn in
- Bags of torque
- Revs nicely for a turbo
- Best feel of any modern electric steering rack I've driven
- Fantastic gearbox - rifle bolt like - not quite as good as the s2000
The car will be my daily and track day car and I'm planning a few choice mods - exhaust and intake but really doesn't need anything else

Looks good, Mike.
Mind those 30-profiles on the crap roads though - a guy in the US has just trashed two wheels on a pipe sticking out the road!
PS - your entire Flickr album seems to be there...

Nice to see someone's bought one of these, if it's better than the FK2 then I'm sure it's a blast to drive.
Did you drive the FK2 first to be able to compare?
However polarising the looks are (and it's only the looks), you never know how it will be perceived in years to come. I remember the FN2 being quite polarising when it came out but it happens to have aged really well, some would agree.

I’m no fan of the looks but all i read is positive stuff
the rear wheel looks odd inset like that and its too busy overall for me but i still think you bought a very good car

No surprise there Chris, still prefer the JDM 4 door saloon though.

I've still got an RR
To be honest, there is no comparison. They are totally different.
The FK8 is a good car; its looks are questionable, but it drives great
However, the RR is truly special

Chris.
