Default F1: European GP

Well, it looks like McLaren should be strong here again, here's hoping JPM can put on a good show and help Kimi eat into Alonso's lead. Ferrari are also looking better here, but the first few laps should be tough as they've shown their tyres to be shit when cold. Hopefully Kimi can stroke ahead during the first few laps.

I was getting a few laps of the Nurburgring in on F1 2K4 and after doing a not so great 1:31.9 (never driven that circuit before!) I went into TV mode and set up a dummy grid. Damn, it was hard trying to pick who went where! There are easily 3 or 4 people who can take pole, and deciding who filled up the rest of the top 10 was tough. Such is the competitiveness of a number of teams this season it's a tough call. I'm predicting 3 in a row for Kimi, but after that it's anyone's guess.

Could Montoya get to grips and make it a Mercedes 1-2 on home soil? Could Ferrari get their act together, and will the spat between Michael and Rubens have any impact on which driver finishes ahead? Will Renault get back on the pace this weekend to help Alonso defend the championship? Will BAR get off to a flying start and grab pole? Can Williams repeat anything like their form from the Monaco GP?

So many questions!!!

Hope it's a good 'un.

Talking about F1 with yanks is like talking about hot bitches with Stevie Wonder. The other party has no clue what they're talking about and you get nothing out of it.

I also refuse to contribute in a thread called "The GP of Europe" in a forum called "Auto Racing Discussion".

possibly if you are leading the championship that might be the way to go.. but if you need to make up 20 or so points.. you need to win and be infront of the competition..

clearly they got it wrong, but by a very close margin... one lap different and it would have been called inspired driving and team management.

I understand that view, but it's not as if we are nearing the end of the season. The McLaren looks the best car and only lost this race through misfortune.

They could have ensured they only lost 4 pts, not 10. I'd also argue they risked injuring their top driver.

Three or four races to go and I would have agreed with the decision, but not at this time.

Only watched the last 5 laps, BAR might as well have had a 3 race ban by all accounts.

BAR were shite, Mclaren were stupid to leave Kimmi out, if that tyres teather had broken it would have hit Kimmi face on. Makes you wonder if the FIA have go the 1 set of tyres per race rule correct.
