Sniff says it all

There's an old F1 adage, 'If you want to finish first, first you have to be a duplicitous little moaning twat'

I've been having a laugh at the sniff updates over this
It's such a rediculous rule anyway. How do you poilice it for a start. Be interesting to see the FIA's response. Suprised there weren't more boo's from the crowd

No body beating is about the bush there then?, missed the first half of the race cause some one didn't hit the right button on the sky, not bother with the replay now.
EJ was actually quite on the ball today, but Ferrari didn't have the nuts to admit underhanded dealings.

of course not, if they did they would forefit their 1 2 places

To be honest one has to be rather naive to think this doesn't go on in ALL teams, and has for the whole of F1's history.

Still didn't stop the race being a processional boring display however, whoever messed with that circuit made a right balls up of it.

EeJit was getting very exercised about things, claiming that all fans were disgusted after the 2002 Ferrari affair.

I wasn't. As Fluffy says, how can you police such a rule?

I say remove it. F1 is both a team and an individual sport and so team orders are to be expected.

Ferrari have been fined €100,000 for bringing the sport into disrepute and the case referred to the World motorsport council

I think today's result was incredibly harsh on Massa - Teflonso wasn't quick enough to get past him on his own merit that much was obvious, and I don't really see what was to be gained by this result - surely the better advice would have been to say hold your positions?

I can imagine Teflonso winging incessantly on the team Radio that 'it's not fairr!!!' mommmm in a cartman style way. He has absolutely no class that fella - I really hope Massa sticks it to him in the next few races.

People are saying how stupid it was of Smedly to comment like that but it's obvious he knew EXACTLY what he was doing. His comment 'now just stay with him' was particularly telling and an obvious clue to the stewards that Massa was actually every bit as fast as Teflonso and this was a managed situation.

I thought DC was completely missing the point on the forum as well and could do with a smack in the chops. I think he thinks that F1 doesn't need fans - that somehow F1 teams are self funding and it's all about the winning. Little bit naive.

EJ was on form though.

Listening into the radio conversation were part of it. But yes you can't entirely enforce the rule; it's very easy to tell one driver they have to turn the engine down, and it would have been very easy for Massa to have just gone wide on one corner to let Alonso through in response to a coded message.

It seems to me team orders are okay if they're trying to get the best result for the team. If your cars are 1-2, switching them around because you like one driver more than the other is stepping over the line into blatant cheating and trying to manipulate the result of the driver's championship.

We are gutted about this. So excited after the great start Felippe got and then to have this happen is such a kick in the gut. What's the point of him trying to win?! Ferarri owe him so much more than this. Very angry.
