I also think (though I hate to admit it) that Alonso had a hand in making the Macca more competitive throughout the latter half of last year, and Hamilton good as he is just doesn't seem to have that 'mechanical' edge/experience to give the team. Speaking of the spanish one, the renaults seem pretty rapid at the moment, could be light but .... we'll see.

As I say though too early for any judgements, but yes Gaddafi will look forward to a discussion about this season with you, hopefully as it progresses and not just in Sept

The odds as it stands:

4/1 for Lewis is quite simply immense odds.

Must be confident of him NOT winning!

Did anyone else cheer when Kimi took pole from Alonso?

That said, Renault have stepped up their performance - will make for an interesting race tomorrow!

I don't know about that, I think Renault are running on fumes, if not then that is mega on their part!

Yep.

Maybe Alonso will start from the pit lane, not having enough fuel for even one lap.

Yeah I'll be fascinated to see how far he gets before needing a fill up!

Hmm, I didn't think they were going back to Magny Cours this year?

Blimey...I can't believe there's been no comment on the race!

Anyway, Heikki seems to be ok which is good news.

Not exactly a thrilling race, but not bad for Barcelona which is usually deadly dull.

So looks like Renault actually quite good.
