Default F1: Turkish GP

The F1 news sites are reporting that Kimi has been dominant since he first turned a wheel at Istanbul this morning. He's currently over a second ahead of the McLarens, and the only man able o get remotely near him is Massa, 4 tenths behind.

Looking good - we really need to keep the championship spiced up and put a little more pressure on the McLaren boys. I'm hoping for Kimi first, then Alonso, Massa, and Hamilton to help Ferrari and Alonso to close the points.

If you'd also put money on hamilton you wouldn't be saying that. Wasn't he something like 50:1 or something before Australia?

I think it was about that. He was 4/5F on bluesq yesterday! Raikkonen was 5-1 which isn't bad considering. I think if he took his finger out of his arse he could string a few wins together and maybe challenge for the title.

He needs to win every race with his team mate second, and probably Hamilton 4th till the end of the season. But sure a couple of Hamilton DNF's could make that it a hell of a lot easier.

Personally I hope Alonso bags his 3rd championship then goes back to Renault, just to prove the point that he could win it with multiple teams. If he went to Ferrari alongside Kimi (as has been tentatively whispered) then I would definitely make a sex wee.

I must confess to having felt much of Alonso's pain, having achieved so much at a young age, putting so much responsibility on his shoulders, and then being expected to show the new pretenders a thing or two as they arrive. I've had to do the same, and have thought much about his championship all year because of that. He seems a person who like me, despite whatever he achieves, he'll always doubt himself, and beat himself up if he isn't perfect every time (which of course no one is).

I hope he does it, because if he doesn't it'll tear him apart inside. If Hamilton loses out, then he came very close in his rookie year, was the most successful rookie ever, and there's always next year...

Hamilton fastest by 0.293, Kimi 2nd. Speculation is that Ferraris were running light fuel, giving them pace earlier on.

Still very impressive though, considering they were ultra quick right out of the bag. And don't be fooled. Everyone runs light in the first practise. It's only in the later sessions where people run longer to get an idea of race pace. I can't wait to see this week's race. Great circuit, and an exciting battle for the title.

In fact we've got Turkey this week, Spa next week, and Monza the week after.

Kimi would feel so much better about himself if he just smiled and had a nice chat with people.
Hamiltons taking the whole Im Ayrton Senna thing a bit too seriously.
Massas feet are just dangling out of shueys arse.
So that leaves Mr body language, if i dont look at him he might ignore the fact that I held him up Alonso.
So for pure comedy genius im going for Alonso this weekend.

But still 4 tenths slower than Kimi's best from the morning.
