The Dacia Duster at £9k in poverty spec is strangely appealing?

1. Legacy

2. Legacy

3. Legacy.

Mikey K used to like them to drive, so it's not all misery.

will you not find a better dog wagon;

http://www.pistonheads.com/classifie...d-2006/1021174

I could do it, but she would take some serious persuading...

I don't doubt the competence and the fact that it would fit the bill in all departments, but its the badge... I know it's no impreza, but she would forever think we drove around in a chav mobile.

by god the new model is ugly!

Close relative of the Legacy is the Forester.

This one

is the 2.5 petrol so quite nippy; low miles 4 years old sub 30k miles year MOT auto.

Very easy to drive and load/unload stuff or animals. A tad over £10k which you can probably argue down

edit: design from the late 20th century so no FREDs!

edit: not as large as it looks. The missus throws ours around with abandon. Taller than the Legacy and rolls a bit if you attack corners, but it is very well behaved really.

I've owned my XC60 for nearly two years now. Very pleased with it.

We quite regularly go to south of France or Geneva, it just munches the miles effortlessly and is extremely comfortable.

Most definitely not a fast car, but there's quite a pleaseant large object being moved by big force feel to it that I like. The 5 pot motor sounds vaguely pleasant too compared to 4 pots.

In its winter boots it's been superb in the recent weather too FWIW.

I bought the M3 for this but i can appreciate why you wouldnt. Mine is on probation as only had it for 7 months (a long time for MB but not me )

Once you have a fitted seat getting nipper in, even in the coupe, is easy enough for me. Dorris has her own car which has extra doors but she can step into the back footwell and drop him into the seat easily enough and the seats motor fwd for better access.

So far i love most things about the car aside from crap security and the manual box. The engine is an absolute peach imo. It eats tyres though... And i do mean eats. Maybe i should set the tc on when i drive alone as well as when with nipper etc

I like the M3 (a lot), but after the issues we've had with the M6 and the VANOS, it wont be another BM no matter how 'good' they might be. When they go bad (which seems common), they go very bad. I can live without the excitement and the costs.

Yeah, i can appreciate that based on your experience.

I am currently sat in a dealer waiting for the security update. Apparently the car wont start now they've done the update. Joy of joys.

I stood them up when I was due to go in and sit around for three hours. Enjoy the coffee

edit: Jason, are you getting any detail about what they have changed?
