Default Fast Estate car needed

Hi All,

The S may be up for sale soon, ok only bought it from Kelk 6 months back but my requirements(mainly bike races - Im seriously racing for a team now) mean I think an estate car or maybe a large hatch could be in order and at the same time.

My budget is about 12k (roughly what Ill get for the S) After that, open to all ideas - diesel is ok, as long as its got some guts as I walk to work so care not for fuel economy

I have thought s4 avant, 330d / i ? after that Im running out of ideas!

EDIT - *cough* sorry just saw your budget.

Volvo 850 T-5 but they are horrible inside and believe it or not very tinny.

Just off the top of my head...

Mazda 6 tp
Honda Accord Estate
Ford Mondeo ST Estate (serious sleeper)
Mitsibushi Galant thingy (dreadful looking but fast and cheap)
Jaguar X type Estate (4x4 version, very good all terrain car)
Saab Turbo Estate (pretty good actually)
Passat Estate (pretty bad actually)

you're not really trying are you

Ah, now that's a good suggestion. The new Legacy estate is lovely.

I know I shouldn't like it but I do - it looks great, especially from the back.

You would end up racing everyone and their dog in it and turning corners in 30mph zones like Schumacher would. It happens to everyone who buys one.

Get one of these - http://www.yosino.ru/nws/Legacy_Subaru_2005.htm

I've told you before, I don't don't street race. It's common and frankly beneath me (plus the chauffer tends to get over enthusiastic and I spill my Champagne)

The only reason I need power in a non sports car, is for overtaking which I do a lot of (sometimes more succesfully than others, hence the demise of my last ford V6...)

2.5 V6 twin turbo 4WD...

Not so much the Legnum (the estate version of the Galant), but I've always liked the look of the Galant VR4s.
