Yep, although there are a few K04 turbo'd cars putting out 300, however these are mainly Leon Cupra Rs.

With so much other stuff needing changed to get up there, I don't think it's worth it. It's still very drivable and hopefully still pretty reliable so it'll probably stay the way it is

Doubt I could be arsed with a laggy bigger turbo anyway lol

My Golf GTI Edition 30 (230 bhp as standard) has the K04 turbo and 300 BHP is easily acheivable with a simple stage one remap with no other modifications. I'll be getting it done at some point but I've only had the car for a month.

Stage 2, Stage 2+ and Stage 3 on the K04 turbo will see you up over 300 bhp and getting towards 400bhp afaik.

Sorry Billy, I'd mean't just from the older 1.8T engines. Also your K04 is a different version.

I had been looking at a gorgeous grey coloured Edition 30 at a local dealership last week. Very tempted and they do seem to be holding values very well! They also seem to have some tasty engine mods over a normal GTI.

There's a guy on one of my local car forums with an 8P S3 (I'm guessing similar spec to your Ed30) running a stage 2 and well into 300bhp. If I don't go back to an S2000 next, I'd certainly be looking to stay with VAG turbos.

Ah, my bad.

I'd recommend an Edition 30 - I'm loving mine - especially with the SG box + paddles

I still miss my sold S2000, especially when the weather is good like it is right now!
