Hmmm...I'd be surprised if it's really that bad. But it IS ugly. And in dire need of a good V6!

Disappointing from Lotus. Not an attractive car at all.

I never liked the styling of the original, and I'm not that fussed about this version either.................looks more like a Proton, than a Lotus.

Roll on the new Espirit I say.

i thought that was supposed to be a decent motor...

A turbo 2L making less than 200hp and 200 lb-ft is an under achiever (think Evo). But of course, your lite chassis makes up for the engine's short commings.....

I can't see the point in it.

What gap in the market is it trying to fill? Are they trying to steal sales from potential Elise or VX buyers? Or Cayman, Z4 coupe or TT buyers?

It certainly comes no-where near to a Porsche Cayman or an Audi TT in terms of performance, kit, or desirability.

I was chatting to the guys at my local Lotus d/ship about this. The reason for it is to fill the 30 to 40k bracket but they all want the esprit. Its awesome apparently as they have seen one for real.
