That was a funny mag - sort of aimed at engineers/backyard tuning freaks/Walter Mitty DIY servicers.

If you wanted to build your own dune buggy, or to install a Weber carburettor on your Viva to improve its performance (cruise missile would have been more improving) it was the magazine for you!

I am very dissappointed if it is.

Everything that I had read up to now indicated a return to the days of the Escort Cossie.

It was meant to have 300bhp and 4WD.

If it really is 280 / FWD... they can stick it, what a load of crap.

WTF would buy one of these over a Scooby STI?

That's the problem;

Get a Scooby from an importer and it makes almost all of the rest of the C segment look stupid.

 

So its basically an focus st4, not a real RS then.

Why doesn't Ford stop arsing about and simply get on and build us a Mondeo Cosworth? It can be 4WD, have a 500bhp turbocharged V6 and a huge, ostentatious bodykit.
