Hamilton was a bit petulant but understandably so, I think he felt the team made some bad decisions, and he may be right ... but he cant expect to win every race of the season ....but it's a good attitude to have ... great race today i thought.

I was fairly impressed with the McLaren' for a while too, they could become a mid to front race team very soon I think.
I agree with you regarding normal service. Track temps were at 63ºC which they won't be anywhere else on the calendar!

Hamilton and Vettel share a talent for petulance when things aren't going their way.

If Ferrari are truly quick, then it's good for the championship. I really want to see Kimi get a decent start and then I have no doubt he'll show why he's a world champion. He was my DOTD today considering what he had to go through.

I agree with the above.

A reality check for Mercedes. They have had a season of p*ssing on everyone but no longer, hopefully. All our good wishes are with Maclaren to get some engine reliability but sadly it will take until the half way point for Honda to get the rust off their act. Williams' drivers had a good old bash at each other

Looking a much better season now than after the first so called 'race'.

STR have the Renault engine.

I wonder what happens if Toro Rosso beat Red Bull in the championship? A lot of questions will be asked about the budget.

A great race. Just like last year, everybody's too quick to condemn F1 as broken, or in crisis, when really it's as good as it ever was. Hopefully this puts an end to all the talk about equalisation, even if Mercedes still look like they're going to have the advantage.

I'd echo all the previous comments.

Great race and good to see Vettel taking the fight to Merc.

Tyre degradation plus track temperature gave the advantage to Ferrari this weekend, but with all the talk of equalisation recently would any of you agree with the tin foil hatters that maybe Merc will turn the wick down at a couple of races to enforces their own equalisation ?

That race was fun. Can't believe I was rooting for a Ferrari to win!

They had Fezza engines until 2013 which is probably why you thought that.

I was slightly confused with the strategy for Hamilton. I expected him to stay out maybe one or two laps longer than he did and then go for the medium compound for a mad sprint to the finish. Yes, before his last stop Hamilton was losing time to Vettel who was on fresh tires, but with the times Vettel was running Hamilton was never going to be able to close that gap on equal tires.

They only had used mediums to offer him, used in Q3.
There would've been a huge risk that the tires would be shot long before the finish line, and Rosberg would pick up 2nd place.

The tire strategy was planned before qualifying, so there wasn't a whole lot they could have done.
If Hamilton could have extended his stint before his last pit stop, so that there was only ten or so laps left - then they definitely would have given him the mediums.
