Red Bull and Renault blaming each other makes for good entertainment!
Let's see what Horner says now that Renault puts part of the blame on the chassis

Shut up and get on with your own job and focus on your car instead of someone else's.
Red Bull gives you whinge.

Apparently Alonso and McLaren has agreed to blame a faulty steering rack for Alonso's accident,
and are now denying rumors of any kind.
Considering everything that took place, medical helicopter and all, it sort of feels like a cover-up to me.
If Alonso wasn't hurt, as they claim, they obviously wouldn't have airlifted him to the hospital.

So far, the off-track action has more than surpassed anything that has happened on-track. Perhaps it's part of Bernie's Grand Plan. No more races, but turn the whole travelling circus into a global soap opera.
We have Lie-gate (Alonso/McLaren) handbags and toys out of the pram at Red Bull and the Manor/Marussia "will they/won't they?"
Meanwhile, on track we have Mercedes showing everybody a clean pair of rear wings. Still, McLaren didn't look as bad as they did in Australia today. Although to be fair, they couldn't have looked much worse than the fiasco of Melbourne.
Some good news: Kimi Raikkonen seems to have a car with a front end in which he can have some confidence, which was not the case last year. Whether it's enough for him to be able to mix it with the Mercedes duo remains to be seen, and I suspect that the Silver Arrows have a bit in reserve, but it's good to see a more contented Kimi.
I'll need to record Qualifying tomorrow, as I'm spending the morning trying to make sure that the brake calipers on my S2000 won't seize. It's really a matter of which Mercedes starts on pole, and whether Manor can get within 107%.

Ferrari has figured their car out, that's for sure.
Will be exciting to see if it will challenge Merc at other tracks as well where the temperature isn't as high, hopefully they do.
Glad to see that the McLarens were doing some overtaking as well, was fun while it lasted.
All in all a really really good race, from start to finish.

Did Alonso actually seem positive?
Good to see him back in the car and if he is genuine, he must be able to see light at the end of the tunnel.
Perez complaining he had nowhere to go. Rules are rules and you have to give the driver space. He could have backed out, but he didn't. Your fault Sergio.

Vettel did a great job today, and Ferrari as a team too, Kimi did a great job also considering he was punctured etc.
Circumstances played into the hands of Ferrari somewhat but as Toto likes to say we can all be geniuses after the race, I think normal service will be resumed (but you never can tell in F1) next race, I would like to see Kimi with a clean race too for once! Hamilton was a bit petulant but understandably so, I think he felt the team made some bad decisions, and he may be right ... but he cant expect to win every race of the season ....but it's a good attitude to have ... great race today i thought.
I was fairly impressed with the McLaren' for a while too, they could become a mid to front race team very soon I think.
