With the mastermind of Newey in the RB paddock, I too--as Ferrari and Mercedes have done---would decline to afford RB a current spec engine. With the engineers they harbor, at this point all they need is the engine to kill the competition again. The other teams know that.

If it has truly been offered, a 2015 spec Ferrari engine could seemingly work out very well for the guys at RB. We have all seen the vast improvements Ferrari have made since their 2014 specs. I'd take them up on their offer, move forward with developing around it, and stop being such ninnies about everything.

EDIT: I'm sure it is obvious albeit yet mentioned here in the thread, but Raikkonen being penalized with a 30 second penalty for the last lap incident with Bottas means Merc have secured the Constructors. Also, Kvyat obtained 5th place in front of his home crowd as well, which is pretty cool.
Yeah but nobody cares about the constructors do they! Nobody apart from the constructors that is F1 has always been about the drivers championship, nobody cared what car Senna was driving, or Prost, Schumacher etc etc.

I read an article the other day that said RBR would simply employ their current F1 staff doing something else, so redundancies are less likely .. at least mass redundancies.

Formula E for RBR?

No engine supply problem and a huge marketing opportunity for the RB brand to dominate. And Newey's expertise would afford complete domination given that next season is open to new chassis.

If Hamilton wins this weekend, and Vettel finishes worse than 2nd, then Hamilton will be champion.

If they all DNF, then it'll not be decided.

That's what I thought. Thanks.
Much as I want (and expect) Lewis to win it I do hope it goes a bit further.
However I don't think Austin suits Frerrari too well so i expect it will have to be a technical issue for the Mercs.

I wonder how much support Nico will give him. ? Could be interesting if its Lewis, Nico then Vettel on the last few laps.....

I don't think it'd make much difference, the title is a done deal, really. Hamilton needs 34 points from the last 4 races to win it.
