Yes, I was reading that earlier...just goes to show there is much more going on than is apparent to the spectator.

Sounds like the thin veneer of Alonso's backing of Honda / Maclaren has finally broken down.
Why is everyone so surprised he parked it up at Spa??

I would have been pool-side with a glass of something cool by the time Lewis crossed the line.
Great win for Hamilton though.

Once again at Singapore the action is all in the first few corners. It now seems to be settling in to be a time limited race.

For my money Vettel carries some blame for the crash that saw Verstappen and Raikonen out at the first corner. He lurched aggressively across into Raikonen after a poor start, destabilising him. Meanwhile Hamilton had a good start, took to the other edge of the track to pass the Red Bull between him and Vettel on the grid and thus avoided the mayhem, to be briefly second to Vettel who then span (on his own leaking fluids?) and was out of the race.

it will be interesting to see what if anything the stewards decide. My guess is they will chicken and it will be a racing incident.

I think Vettel is to blame as well but there's not much point giving him any penalties, he's lost out on a lot of points last night and if they penalise him even more the championship is pretty much over.

Easy with 20-20 hindsight I know, but Sebastian made a right royal mess of that. However, I'm pleased to see the stewards have decided no further action should be taken. In my eyes, it was a racing incident.

Very difficult to see Ferrari coming back to challenge Lewis now given the magnetude of his points advantage and that the tracks coming up should suit the Mercedes, but I'll be at Sepang hoping for a repeat of last year's race!

Seb moved left to block Max who backed out of it slightly but was surprised by Kimi coming up quickly on his left. Max and Kimi collided and Kimi was launched into Seb.
Racing accident, nobody hurt,no blame. (There is not always a scapegoat)
In fact, Max moved right at the start,Kimi came down the left, max then moved slightly left when Seb blocked him and collided with Kimi wo was launched into Seb.

Looks like Vettel is mainly at fault in my opinion. It looks to me like his intention was to squeeze verstappen against the wall but didn't realise his team mate was there.

Ferrari blaming Verstappen is laughable.

However, i think its right that the stewards viewed it as a racing incident.

Had a great time at the race once again.

Different seats this year but had a good view of the finish.

I think I sat there years ago.

it really is a shit circuit to spectate unless you're near a big screen, but the overall event and atmosphere makes up for it.

That was very much my feeling after last years race Mark. I'm glad I went, enjoyed the atmosphere but am in no hurry to return.

Sepang was very different - a fantastic place to watch F1 cars and when I heard that the Malaysian authorities hadn't renewed their contract, meaning this years race will be the last (for the foreseeable future at least), I made plans to return this year.

I'll again be sitting in the K stand - view straight down the start finish straight, with the excellent first corner complex immediately in front and views of about another third of the track out to the left.
