Valtteri Bottas has probably spent his life dreaming of winning a Grand Prix, and his dream came true yesterday.

But I doubt that his dreams would have included the part where immediately after the race he would have to endure a meeting with Vladimir Putin in the post-race room of awkwardness, and a few minutes later he would be interviewed on the podium by Eddie Jordan.

It's the stuff that dreams aren't made of.

If manufacturers get involved in F1 to promote their brands, then I think both Honda and McLaren are on express elevator to the bottom.

Alonso's car broke down after one lap in FP1 this morning. They are surely the laughing stock of the paddock now. As a McLaren owner, I wonder to what extent Mikey feels this and last seaon have tarnished the brand ...

It's put me off Honda without doubt ...

It's nice to know that Fernando and I are having a similar experience with regards to our Honda engines...

pretty embarrasing I think, all the small teams are making good progress and they can't even get a few laps done

Yup.

Though I'm sure Honda will be very pleased with powering the winning car driven by Takuma Sato.

Mr. Dixon was a fortunate fellow...
