Default FRED alert!

US EPS failures

JUst in case anyone here is affected.

PAS pump fell off my MX-5 once on a roundabout. Oddly I didn't crash, but then I'm English and not American.

Americans (as a nation rather than as individuals) are fecking useless.

First of all with the throttle stuck, people crash. Rather than turning the engine off, or hitting the brake, or taking it out of gear, or using the hand brake.

And wow, you lose power assist. The power steering on my M3 was a bit iffy for a while. It just made it heavier. I didn't crash, even on track days.

There's only one solution. I know I'm taking out good americans, but the time for half arsed (not assed) measures are gone.

FWIW one couldn't switch off the engine in a second generation Prius when the vehicle was moving - I tried it on a number of occasions.

Although mine and my collegues all have them and no issues with them.

But the thread is about electronic devices....

Do you have shares in Vauxhall, as you seem to take these comments personally?!
