Default Garage flooring

Has anyone tiled their garage?

I'd like to have the whole floor covered with interlocking rubber type tiles but not sure where is best to shop.

Be interested to know if anyone has pimpled their garage!

I looked at those rubber tiles.
Expensive.

I went for heavy-duty linoleum in the end:

I considered tiles but they are expensive and fluids will seep under and collect under them. Dust is not easy to sweep off them and collects in the gaps.
I ended up painting the floor with high grip epoxy floor paint.
Simply wipe and fluilds up, sweep it clean and touch up and bits that get dirty or scrapped

If you can run to the two-pack epoxy shiny stuff, then thats the daddy.
But I would think its going to cost four figures to do a decent double garage Mark.

Both this stuff, and the plastic tiles are all over the power stations.
Both last extemely well, but as mentioned the 2p is far easier to maintain.

Theres a cheaper epoxy paint covering thats probably fine for a domestic garage.
But the hard glass-like epoxy finish is incredibly hard and you can hit it with a hammer and bounce off.

I painted my floor with the best B and Q had. Looked great at first, slowly looking worse and worse. But only cost £50!

Id recommend it due to the cost.

I also used the polyeurathane paint from Toolstation.
It's actually okay if you can get three or more coats down on a solid base, circa £80 the lot.

But, I found parking a red hot S2000 in there with sticky rubber ruins it

I used some sort of blue paint from Homebase - sealed it nicely, and oil etc. sits on top so you can put sand down and sweep it up. However hot tyres stick to it so I put 4 carpet tiles down (when a hot car used to sit on it rather than the trailer), and when it gets wet it's lethal!

I'm reluctant to use paint, as my garage floor surface isn't that neat (it's flat but a bit rough) and also i've heard a lot of people have had issues with it.

I nearly picked up an entire Esporta gym load of used rubber tiles the other day, but missed out!

By using the interlocking tiles, it will also block up the gaps around the edge of the garage and hide the crap surface underneath

I'm not forking out £1k for it though!

£500 ish would be a nice limit. It's basically a nice big garage which could be very nice with some work... THe auto door is looking a bit out of place atm

30 square metres is going to be a fair wedge though
