My garage floor is typical lumpy bumpy ridged thing and the paint was ok - if I was livin here forever I'd spend a bit more and get proper flooring - but it's ok for a few years.

Artificial turf - You can place subbuteo men all around it for character.

I epoxied mine first (to stop the damp soaking through) as the surface was shot.

The padded lino is very comfortable to lie on!

That makes sense, Nick. I had two layers of floor paint already down (but the tyres pulled it up in places) so that acted as a barrier. It's not a perfect job but it came out better than expected and is so much nicer than painted concrete!

I considered going for the more expensive tiling solutions, as Mark is considering, but I thought I'd spend the money when I have a double garage to play in!

I recently looked into installing some floor tiles in my garage but found them to be far too expensive. There must be other flooring out there that you could buy on the roll to keep the cost down a little bit more. £500-£700 is not worth it imo

Id recommend it due to the cost.
I did that. The first pot of paint (4l iirc) spillt all over B&Q's entrance Swear there's still signs of it now.

Good enough. It's a garage floor FFS.

How about the industrial 'lino' type stuff you get in public bogs and Portakabins?
