Default Gentle bit of advice re NIP please

Got a NIP through the post a few days ago: 35 in a 30.

Sadly, cannot remember who was driving the car. My partner and I share cars and we both do a lot of driving around the North East.

Anyone got any suggestions how to proceed? Can I ask for photo evidence?

Thinking who has the fewest points on their licence might jog your memory

I stand to be corrected but iirc you can ask the police to make the photo available for you to view as proof of the offence and to help establish the driver. This means you going to the station to view it though so if its at the other end of the country may be more economical to pay it.

A rep working with me some time had the picture sent to him, they may do that if you ask nicely?

The one I had a couple of years ago had a link to access the picture online. Sure enough, it was me! Not that anybody else drives my car.

Last NIP I had (which thankfully was a few years ago) had the details of how you request a photo as part of the bumf that came with it.

Rear facing camera might not offer much help.

Besides, I thought it was up to the registered keeper to know whom is in charge of their car at any given time?

Might offer up another offence if not careful

Forces are different about when and how they let you see any photo taken - just write, explain ... and see what comes back
