As most of you know, I have sold my S2000 and purchased a Boxster.

Well, picking it up tonight so just gone to insure it, I have bought it as a 99 on a T plate, gave the insurance company the reg and she said, thats an 02 plate, I replied but its on a T plate, she then said T53UHH is a private plate which was put on 3 years ago, its deffinately 02. So just done a HPi, low and behold... its registered 01/09/02!

The guy who owned the car before didnt even know this, it was insured by his company so it never came to light about its real age.

How cool is that, got an 02 plate for less than T plate money due to his desperation to sell

And WTF is T53UHH supposed to mean ? (I have an idea if you squint your eye & read it phonetically).

 

Thats what I thought but after some investigation I found the rear lamps changed in 02 but this was old stock and the glass window came out in 2003.

 

The facelifted 986 came out in 2003 (I think).
