Nice - Welcome to the lightweight club

If the roof is anything like the Elise, you do get used to it, and because there's less wind buffeting and an engine right behind you, you don't get so cold in winter.

Gets a bit warm on long runs in the warmer weather though

I also had a black VX, the na variant.

Great fun to drive, you'll get loads more looks from the public than in the S.

I've taken a Turbo round a track and it was brill.

Enjoy the summer

What's the luggage space like? Is it a lot less than the S. I'd be interested in one of these but we use the S for touring holidays so need a fair bit of luggage room.

What sort of money do good ones go for?

To me its the answer to my gripes with the S, namely it needs more poke and firmer handling!

And a lot lighter.

Looking good
It's light, but not Elise light (860kg). Kerb weight for a VX220 Turbo is 1005kg.

Being 250kg lighter than the S2000 I bet the handling is in a different league. I love the way Elises's and VX's take corners. Just zero body roll.

The boot space *is* smaller than the S, however you can still get a fair bit in the boot. You just have to use smaller bags and make use of all available space. The boot space does go right into the corners behind the rear light clusters, and partially above the rear wheel arches, so there is a fair bit of space there to use.

We're taking ours down to the South of France for nearly 3 weeks at the end of the month, and I have no concerns about not being able to fit in all that we want to take. It's just a case of packing light and sensibly.
