Its lucky we are unique in our views......`eye of the beholder and all that`, as I disagree with a few of you - I think its a beaut car.

Tight lines, squat stance, elongated wheelbase (vs the body size) - gives it a purposeful look, sharp decline on the centre body line, accentuates the `wedge` shape. A very modern desing, in terms of current vehicle trends, its a lot more with it than the S is.

Mrs CC is well up for a black `un, after seeing Compo`s (and reminding me of how well it looks) I reckon her wish may come true!

Whilst I wouldn't disagree that the CTR is not as easy on the eye as the S (but then not many cars are, IMHO), I'm not sure I would agree that it follows that it is ugly. Functional, yes. But I quite like the sporty-looking Type R enchancements. It makes the car look purposeful.

If I found myself having to swap the S for something a bit more sensible (heaven forbid! ), the CTR would make the short-list, which I guess is the acid test of what I think of the looks. Probably in the company of the RX8 and the Alfa 147 GTA when they both hit the market next year. And I think I could probably have as much fun in the CTR as either of those two cars, and for around

Photos don't do the car justice.

Needs to be seen in the Flesh to appreciate the subtley menacing styling. Love the alloys.

Well don't misunderstand me chaps, it's going to be my first choice if I can't justify the cost of another S when the time comes. The car is an absolute steal for the money, the gear shift is identical to the S and the interior is very sporty indeed with nice Recaro seats. It torque steers like F@*$k until you get used to anticipating it. I wasn't surprised in the least with it beating the S on the track in the wet in that 'Driven' programme.

I was talking to my dealer very recently and it seems they're much easier to get now (I think they're quoting 6 weeks delivery), and are holding their resale value really well. He did say though, that they seem to be using lots of oil and they're heavy on front tyres.

IMHO the CTR looks great !!
I think it looks best in red but looks fantastic in any of the available colours. Nice one, Matt !

Am told that apparently you can take the airbox cover off but you have to remove some screws instead of the S2000's clips.

My girlfriends brother has just got a CTR in red its alot nicer than I thought it would be,
it was'nt long before I got my mit's on it & it now has an AEM cold air induction kit and a DC sports strut brace (first in the country) "VERY NICE" just have to get him to change the rear lights for some carbon APC jobs and a nice HKS exhaust now and we're away, I'll try and get some pic's off him.

They're not Recaro's on UK car, except the "aniversary" special edition. JDM car get the Recaros (and LSD, rear pirvacy glass, red carpets/door trim, different manifold, etc....) but not the UK cars. Still nice seats though

You get used to watching for the angle of the needle - rather than the number. Lets face it, in lower gears there isnt time for anything else!
With the steering positioned comfortably, i also cant see the top of the dials, so this is essential.
Would be nice to have the digi display though

Tyres are ok if you dont do banzai starts, and mine has used virtually no oil after the first 1k miles (now on fresh oil after 6k), and it only used a litre then - including 2 trackdays! It did have a camshaft position sensor fail (the first on a K20A), but a couple of other owners seem to be having the same issue so it may be a bad batch of sensors.

Theres going to be a feature on the CTR on the new series of topgear, so keep your eyes peeled...
