or at least that is what VW is pushing on it's promoted twitter account (can you promote something is trending? I am not so sure...)
The irony being, the amplified bit is the synthesised exhaust note... so it's fake.. just like the emissions claims

Funnily enough, I did pop mine into 'race' mode last night (how cool am I) and had a little toot along the ring road. It does sounds quite cool, if you can get past the fact it's plumbed in noise. Sounds better than the CRV at least.
