Auto or manual?
Chris.

Went auto. Surprising box. Or maybe I'm just getting old

I must be getting old too
the auto would be my choice

Chris.
No, but it feels like a DCT. In fact it feels better than the first gen Porsche PDK, but not quite as good as the M3 DCT. But it's astonishing for an auto. It's not a slush box though.
so long as they've got lock-up & flappy paddles for throttle control & engine braking on the twisties, a slushbox is fine and suits most cars & most drivers far better.
I was actually quite enjoying punting a Honda Insight the other day; mildly fun, mildly boring, it reminded of the old Vauxhall J-Car Cavalier somewhat.

Well the S is no more (well its at the local Toyota dealer)
Spent most of yesterday taking family out for a drive around in it
Still running in but even just accelerating with no more than half throttle and less than 4000rpm its a brisk drive. You can feel the chassis is stiffer but supple still. Obviously not able to gun it properly to compare engines. Interior is better quality materials than the s but we're 12 years on from my car so to be expected.
Satnav and audio are good but pretty much a copy of my Avensis system so feels normal to me. Just setting up this morning for the Internet interface which is new to me though.
Room in the boot/back was very surprising. Bit like the tardis. Looks small but swallows a lot (Maria Ozawa?
)
Very happy

The DI makes it feel way torquier than the S2000, so the four grand isn't so bad.
Other than you could go to six grand in the S...
I set the change up light & buzzer to 4K, so I could keep bouncing off the rev limiter and that makes it feel better. I once overtook an Evora like that...what's wrong with people?

I saw one with four exhausts t'other day and thought "he's fooked with that" but it looks like it was a trd
Liked it.
This might be a car for my retirement. I think the BM will be too draining
. Weight = running costs
