GTR accused of cheating

If I owned a Porsche I certainly wouldn't tell anyone that I did.
TBH, I only tell people what I drive if they are petrol heads.
Otherwise, I have plenty of other stories/interests in order to woo them

Still, saying that you drive a GT-R to anyone is about as ghey/loser as it gets

A fascinating analogy, and one that sums up things well.
The people who can't see past 0-60,0-100, top speed speed at the ring blah blah, and cannot comprehend that a car can offer more, rather more intangible qualities over and above those raw statistics.
Equally the people who can't understand the pure subjective pleasure, for a special occasion, of getting out the special silver cutlery rather than the day-to day stuff, after all, they both do the same job don't they?
I suggest you buy your other half a bit of brass with some glass in it. After all, it looks the same as gold and diamond, but, well one just cost a lot more than the other...
I'm sure she'll see sense...

I wouldn't bother he's not going to get it

I tell people I have a 12 year old Datsun that will blow the doors off their car whatever it is.... and let my little lad just nod and say..."he has you know"

Oooooo. Why's that then?
Make sure you note the repsonse

Oh, and refering to your car as a Datsun is like referring to the new GT-R as a Renault.

Well, next time you venture out into the wide world, try initiating a conversation with anyone you don't know and within the few sentences you speak to them, tell them that you drive a GT-R.
Make sure you note the repsonse

I know what you mean.I must admit I have never met anyone that opens a conversation with "Hi....I drive an xyz" but would think they are a complete c*ck if they did though.

We had an owner on here before
His car was faster than anything else on the planet but he buggered off when someone suggested having a go on track against a standard S2000

....although if well setup a good GTiR should show most S's a clean pair of heels.
This is my GTR:
http://www.timeattack.co.uk/gallery/2008%2...ICHSAMS024.html
Full fat version.
Drive it like you stole it!
Lucky77 - Yeah done the whole lot this year and last one is Snet next Sunday.
Been really good experience. Car's compromised as I drive it there race it then drive it home. Full interior the lot.
It weights 5kg more than a stock car so to compete against most of the space cadets isn't happening in their stripped race prepped motors.
Just been aiming to go quicker than I did last year and have done that and a bit.
Really enjoyed it and would highly recommend anyone to have a go as the crack is something else.
Was going to do it again next year......but seem to have spent my race engine budget on buying an S!
