Have skimmed read and haven't looked at the vids but were the times quoted as 7:49 and nearly 7:56 (GT2 & GTR respectively) the fastest lap of a series of laps or averages of a series of laps or one hot lap?

Not fussed on the lap times too much but am interested in how the GTR is to drive. Seems it can give some tail happy fun.

So now Porsche can rest in the fact that the GT2 is faster than the GT-R.

It is like saying that you are a better fighter than Rickky Hatton because you and 2 of your mates beat him up.

I was just thinking. That's how the GT-R comes in first face model.

I'd be interested as to how fast the GT-R stacks up against a 911 Turbo. Stupid bloody race - even more stupid as a car that cost less than half and doesn't have a roll cage is only a couple of moments of the pace.

Porsche know they're getting nailed and it's funny.

I would imagine a GT2 is a fair bit quicker than a 911T.

It is amazing what they have done. Despite what anyone says about the cars heritage or easthetics, it's proving itself very well against the big boys. There are now contests between it and Porkers on different tracks, and different magazines, and I don't think it's been scalped yet?

Porsche is quicker end of story.
No

We (or no-one has told me) don't have the stats for this faceoff.

One lap, average over x laps, variance per lap for example. All may tell us something different.

different driver different outcome
different track differenmt outcome

But, I agree with what the mag was trting to prove, however it may come across of being a little childish and insecure trying to disprove what someone claims.
