Gumball death
I think the danger here is jumping to conclusions without sufficient information.
Information from the press is hardly 100% reliable - I have dealt with two collisions in the last month that have ended up in the press and what they printed bore no relation whatsoever to the circumstances of the incident. To say I was appalled is an understatement. They print how they want it to appear - the truth seems to come quite a way down their list of priorities ... it often doesn't sell newspapers or make good TV !
Until more definite facts are known it will not be possible to judge this.

They have canceled the remaining part of the rally.

The Gumball organisers insist that the 911 wasn't speeding at the time of the collision, although the cynic in me thinks "Well, that would say that, wouldn't they?".
The thing is that the Gumball Rally has built up such a reputation for itself as being all about hell-for-leather charges across Europe in exotic cars that it's all too easy to assume the worst of the participants.
There's a guy who posts from time to time on the PH Porsche board who has participated in the past in a tuned 911 GT2 (basically a stripped out road-racer version of the 911 Turbo - good for 180 mph+) and has some stories to tell about his time spent in prison (in Spain, I think) after he was stopped by local police. There are also a number of in-car videos on YouTube of him traversing Europe at very high speed on these events.

ALL Gumball websites down, just try a google search they are all dead!
It's widely reported to be a hit and run, so no one's jumping to conclusions. We all like to have a laugh, and a bit of a road trip, but these pricks have been doing stupid speeds through any road they choose without regard for safety.
I've seen a few video diaries of the events, and have been frankly stunned they haven't killed someone before now.
Nothing to do with the fact they're driving Lambo's. They're just cocks.

Yeah by a Porche. All money and no Brains! I think the guy that died was in a Golf.
Someone died in this incident, you could of at least checked your spelling. So how are you stereotyping the Golf driver? Pretentious slovak who couldn't afford an Audi but wouldn't be seen in a Focus perhaps ?
I nearly said wouldn't be seen dead in a Focus, but then I re-read it, close one oops.....
