certainly better than names
Pete you are so way off the mark it's untrue.

You want a car named after a little girl.............

like....erm...... Elise

It's manly that way and encourages the image of raw power

Some names can be ok, I think they add character - like Zonda for example, better than 'Pagani 874b v2.01' or whatever. Although I could never imagine the F40 being called anything else

but the odd bit is the F40 and F50 work as names, however IIRC the Enzo is also known as the F60. That doesn't work IMHO

I'd suggest that's just because you're not familiar with F60 and it doesn't the resonance and familiarity that F40 and F50 have. If the car had been christened the F60 from the outset, I'm sure that would be different.

Fair point but still better than 'Pagani C12 S'.

What's wrong with F60? Ferrari Diamond Jubilee sounds dicking ref uckulous. Even in Italian.

What about cars with made up names. I really HATE those & anyone buying one is usually half-dead anyway.

Solara
Ventora
Almera
Chevelle
Estima Emina
etc

And as for Audi having to exaggerate numbers for the Septics (100 beacme 4000 and 200 became 5000) shows they can be dangerously crap too.

Leave it to the Japanese for model names of hilarios pretention;

Legend
Liberta Villa
Cedric
Fairlady
President
Debonair
C(h)arisma
Impreza
Vigor
