Default Hand Car Wash

I don't post much on here anymore mainly just lurk mainly but thought I must just post about the excellent service I received in Crewe at a car wash run by polish chaps.

I drove in and drove out within 20 mins !! When I drove in my car was grafted inside and out and so requested a full valet.

Four of them set about my car and carried out the following :

Jet washed the full vehicle
Then foam sprayed the full vehicle
Sprayed alloy wheel cleaner
Hand washed full vehicle with wash mittens - not sponges !!
Dried the full vehicle with towels
Added tyre gloss
Hoovered full interior including the boot
gel'd the dash and doors and cleaned the roof lining.
added cherry scent spray to the carpets
Added a magic tree air freshener
Polished windows and windscreen inside and out.

I then drove away in my car after handing over the £10 they charge for the full valet. They did a superb job - thats what I call value for money !!!!!

One of the guys did mention that for an extra tenner they would steam clean the engine and a full hand wax to the bodywork !!!

Anybody received better value for money than that ??

Andy

well that's certainly better than the sorry story the "elderly" ( say put in quotes because though they are both approaching 90, one would NEVER know to talk with them) neighbours of my girlfriends' parents.

Vauxhall Corsa (in their words- the beater ) - washed inside and out at a hand car wash - they charged FIFTY POUNDS.

Having seen the "quality" of the service, I've resolved to go up and do things properly, for nothing. I'm also hoping to restore the faded pink back to red. Part the reason I want a DA Polisher.

Of course, I didn't say anythin gto the couple.

The value above sounds excellent!!!

Yep you're right can't trump that.

Noted that Polish polishers were at work, no doubt working hard and shaming the many British born British who are bone idle and the first to moan that the dregs of Eastern Europe are swamping this country. Serves us right.

Just considered their pay .... £10 / 4 = £2.25 each, 2.25 x 3 (20 mins a valet) = £6.75 an hour x 10 hours (they are polish afterall less an hour for lunch so x 9) £60.75 a day x 6 days = £364.50 a week, less a third tax, so take home £275.00 each a week .. don't see why that can't be a legitimate business.

Sounds like they do a good job, and as you say offer great value for money.

Would those be the same wash mittens they used to wash down the Land Rover that had spent the past few days on a muddy, gritty farm track........ just before you got there

Perhaps not......but you never know

If you are happy with their service thats cool But do you think they care about your paint work as much as you do? I very much doubt it
